Yu Keping 俞可平, Thomas Heberer , Björn Alpermann (eds.), 中 共治理与适应--比较的视野 Governance and Adaptability of the Chinese Communist Party--a Comparative Perspective (Beijing: Central Compilation & Translation Press, 2015).

China presents an unprecedented case of a country run by a Communist Party undergoing rapid marketization and development. This has spurred academic interest in "authoritarian adaptability" to explain regime resilience in the face of economic and social transformation. The contributions to this edited volume look at three different fields: (I) Political Perspectives—Party Politics, Ideological Change and Regime Legitimacy, (II) Local Perspectives—The Local State and the Puzzle of China's Development, (III) Societal Perspectives—Regime Support, Social Management and Social Organizations.
